The fundamental task of this Unit is to inculcate and propagate sustainable development activities for the betterment of all beings ensuring environmental protection and preservation of mother earth. The Unit endeavors to educate and mobilize the primary levels of the society where the environmental issues originates and spreads globally affecting the humanity. The Unit is also engaged in organizing programmes and joining forces with the masses for the protection of sensitive environmental localities, minimizing water, soil and air pollution. Further the Unit strives linking the rural level societies with the national and international programmes and policies to bring to an end to global warming.
